"From the first session I had with Michael Mehlman, I knew I was in good hands. Michael understood my situation and he diagnosed that my challenges were not just related to a knowledge gap, but also some deficiencies in reasoning through clinical vignettes. He helped me to understand the pathophysiology of diseases and gave me strategies to better approach USMLE style questions. I completed a total of 40 sessions with him, in which we did a combination of attacking NBME questions and discussing high-yield concepts. I started the year with an IM shelf score of 75, but did not honor my IM or my Psychiatry rotations. Over time, with Michael's help, I high passed Family Medicine and OB/Gyn and honored Neurology, Pediatrics, Surgery, and Anesthesia. As I started preparing for Step 2CK, my UWSA #1 and #2 scores were 247 and 246 respectively. Practice NBMEs I took were in the 250s. My final Step 2CK score was 260 (I found out yesterday!). I improved my clinical reasoning and expanded my knowledge base beyond my wildest imagination. I am convinced that this progress would have been impossible without Michael's help. He invested a lot in me, and I am genuinely proud of the fact that I did not let him down.”
